First one...

Hello Reader..
This is my first post..so kindly bear it...
Let me start with something that is influencing me at large now a days..and thats OSHO.
I have been reading his book "Bin Baati Bin Tel"..its my first reading of rajneesh and halfdone and still he have managed to influence me like nothing else..
The contents of book touches every fact of life. one is God.
Osho doesn't believe in 'Bhagwan' as such but trust the concept of parmatma.
But at the other hand he also says that...when there is no fear of God, people like Hitler and Mao take birth on earth.

I had been thinking on it for long and thought that how the concept of God affects us..
Hitler, Mao like people had no fear of them going to hell or a cursed rebirth, for their heinous acts, because they never believed in God or any other such thing...so it was so easy for them to kill thousands of people.

With this i recalled past discussions on Presense of God (which we all have atleast once in our life, right??)
We keep on debating if God is there or not...but does it really matters when due to his fear so many People must have stopped themselves from commiting crimes..they must have controlled their behaviour, language, acts because of this fear...even if God isn't there, his virtual presence can leave so many crimes unattempted...I find God in this virtuality..in this fear...If a pray can give somebody a Hope...then, as my blog says...he gets a "life".

I will stop here but would like to have your thoughts on it..whatever it may be
Regards

Hi Apps,

I do not completely agree that God exist in fear, but I would rather say that He exists in faith, love and within us. And its not the fear of God that makes people do good things, but its the realization of His existance, His Power.....And this is why I agree, how His power of virtual presence affects human life in various ways.

I also beleive in Osho's concept of Parmatma.....because there exists only one POWER which controls the whole universe, and we have named it as God (and different religions have named Him differently).

However, terrorist activities that are performed under the name of God are contradictory to all that we have stated. How can a Fear of God or Faith in God take so many innoscent lives?

Well, I guess I can explain this with the concept of Angels and Demons, which I have come accross in certain books I have been reading recently.
In our life, at different periods we are either followed by Angels or Demons, which influences our actions, our trust in God.
But there is only one common end, that in the battle between angels and demons, Angel always triumph.

Hey Shruti,
I do agree with your points about faith,Angel-Demon concept,
but some people cannot have faith in God until and unless they really
experience it in some way.
And if he cannot find God in anything, sometimes juz fear can work wonders for him.

Also, you have mentioned about terrorist. Jehad, as we know it, is supposed to be order of God to spread that religion, which if not followed can give them Place in Hell and hence, youngsters are brainwashed with fear of hell and dreams of heaven.
And, Why Angels never follow after Demons, like in case of terrorist..??

Very true Apeksha, fear is quite effective.
And even in the case of Jehad your point is true...but as far as my knowledge is concerned Jehad is a fight for truth, for your rights which some people have misunderstood.

And Angels always follow after Demons, because right always wins over wrong. Though, all this sounds too dramatic, all we need to do is keep some patience and faith. Like in the case of Kasab, the lone terrorist caught alive in the Mumbai terror attack 2008.....after reading the statement given by this person.... rather than being angry for what he has done, I feel sorry for him.....I think we all live a much better life....there are many more innoscent children that are been forced to perform such sins.....I dont know how to explain this but I somehow feel that Kasab's survival will make such a history that will help in saving the life of other innoscent children.

Apart from this, today we can see lot many things are changing, like the awareness that has arisen among the people of India after the terror attacks. Its after a long time that people are holding themselves responsible for the situation we are in now and trying to make a difference, no matter how minor it may be. Its a process, it will take some time.....we cant expect a immediate change but it is atleast a start.....a HOPE.....

Well said Shruti, one can feel pity for young, brainwashed people like Kasab, as they are merely representing some hardcore terrorizing group and don't have much to do with the business behind such coward attacks.
But only those can think of it in this way who has not lost anything very personal...if someone very close to be would have been victim of it, my only wish would be to see him hanged.
The real motive is not punishing Kasab but to punish the originators of these acts. If Kasab survives, it will give a positive vibe to other thousands of Kasabs in making.
It will be a win of the cowards. If they are doing everything for sake of God, then it is our moral to punish him at least for the sake of people and lost innocent souls.
And yes, I agree that change is coming and it will take lots of time to take effect. Nevertheless, a hope always survives.

a good thought provoking post, I also sometimes think that god is the virtual power which controls everything , and ppl look towards it as something which humans cant control or do ,

Whenver it goes out of hand of human they look towards supernatural power to control it,
